27/07/2026

On 13th of June, the Polytechnical Institute of Grenoble (INP-UGA) hosted a seminar showcasing the institute’s research the capabilities and its contribution on addressing key challenges tacked by VALORBIO project, including plastic pollution.

The seminar was designed for students interested in pursuing research careers in the coming years. It was a chance for them to learn how a research institute works from the inside and what they can expect from working in the field.

Participants also had the opportunity to visit INP-UGA facilities and gain first-hand experience of industrial plastic production processes.  During the visit they observed the operation of a plastic extruder that will be used by the research team to test the biopolymers developed within the VALORBIO project over the next 2 years.

As part of its commitment to scientific outreach and knowledge dissemination, the VALORBIO’s team will continue to organise seminars and workshops through the 3 years duration of the project. The project also welcomes opportunities for collaboration with laboratories, research institutes and other interested organisations. Research groups interested in exploring potential collaborations are encouraged to contact the VALORBIO team through the contact form available on the project website.
